Event and Program Manager

We are seeking a collaborative, energetic, and self-motivated person to join our small team here at draft, full time.

The event and program manager will be responsible for planning the execution of multiple events (both public and private) at draft.

This person will need to maintain and grow new relationships with draft partners, community organizations, and vendors.

An ideal candidate is a self-starter who has experience managing events and is motivated by making new connections in Indy.

This is a full time position with on-site hours at draft varying week to week. Candidate must be available to work nights and weekends.

  • 01.Qualifications

    Minimum experience – at least 2 years of event and/or program management experience.

    Organized – you are a person who gets excited by the opportunity to develop and implement systems.

    Dependable – you show up on time, anticipate needs, and jump into action when needed.

    Team player – you’re willing to do the big and small tasks; no one on our team is above any task at draft.

    Independently motivated – you enjoy the dopamine rush of a job well done.

    Customer focused and relationship builder – at draft, you are somewhere between a camp counselor, a therapist, and an event planner.

    Sales and marketing – you are someone who gets energized by new concepts and community engagement.

    -Can lift 30lbs

    -Can walk up and down stairs.

    Nice to have but can learn on the job:

    -Proficiency in Canva, Word, Airtable, Asana, Notion, Excel, Mailchimp

    -Can take a good photo

  • 02.Responsibilities

    Community host. Act as community host at draft two days per week (8a – 4p).

    Lead event sales. Includes client communications, tours, event contracts, and final walk through prior to event.

    Manage events. Includes setup, tear down, vendor and client management.

    -Assist in marketing events and growing the event business arm of draft.

    -Maintain close relationships to outside vendors and partners.

    -Assist with current community programs at draft as well as help create new programs.

    -Contribute to the development and creation of standard operating procedures and other documents for managing events.

    -Manage event budgets and contribute to quarterly strategic planning for draft.

    -This position’s on-site hours vary week to week. Candidate must be available to work nights and weekends.

At draft, we have about 60 members and host roughly 65 events and programs throughout the year. These events are both private and public. Events range from workshops, to speaker series, to classes, to markets, to company retreats and off-sites, to private celebrations.
